IT could be all over for Biggie Zuze at Triangle after his side suffered a home loss and slid back into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League drop zone after a heartbreaking loss to Harare City at Gibbo Stadium yesterday.

Martin Vengesai scored a second half brace for the visitors while Triangle scored their consolation through Richard Kawondera.

Zuze came into the game with a two-match ultimatum hovering over his head to collect six points in two matches and after yesterday’s loss, surely the former Monomotapa man is headed for the exit, just a week after the club fired goalkeepers’ coach Gift Muzadzi.

Fans were not impressed either yesterday and immediately demanded the head of the former Dynamos star.

Triangle chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze all, but confirmed last night that Zuze was headed back to Harare.

“I don’t have much to comment, but we are going to meet early this week over the matter,” he said.

Zuze, seemingly confident of keeping his job, said they needed to rectify their shortcomings in the next matches.

“The defeat is hard to believe. We had a good first half, but we failed to score from our chances. We are continuing to concede soft goals. And we should tighten up our screws if we entertain any hope of surviving relegation,” he said.

His counterpart Masimba Dinyero said they produced a good second-half performance.

“Our first half was not good, but we managed to change the complexion of the match in the second half,” he said.

The well-sponsored Triangle had the first real chance in the 19th minute when Graham Ncube missed a sitter after failing to connect home Cabby Kamhapa’s well delivered cross. Sensing danger, the visitors upped their game and had their first goal on target three minutes later from an Osborne Mukuradare shot.

A minute later Triangle shot-stopper Ronald Mudimu was called into action to tip over the bar a Benson Maglas shot for a corner.

The visitors almost opened the scoring in the 33th minute, but Chastern Ndongonda cleared Mukuradare’s shot off the line.

Harare City started the second half on a strong footing and in the 46th minute Vengesai failed to nail home a fine cross from the in-form Mukuradare.

Harare City took the lead in the 51st minute after Vengesai benefited from a defensive mix-up.

The hosts had a chance to equalise in the 64th minute when Hillary Bakacheza delicately chipped the ball over the visitors defence to Kamhapa who shot wide inside the box.

Harare City goalkeeper Maxwell Nyamupangedengu tipped over the bar a Richard Kawondera shot for a corner-kick a minute later.

Triangle equalised in the 72th minute through Kawondera who headed home Nhamo Lameck’s cross to send the home side fans into a frenzy.

Vengesai got himself in trouble after he tried to score with his hand prompting referee Makonese Masakadza to flash a yellow card in the 85th minute, before he scored a last gasp winner.
