Blood of Jesus Christ: What it means to God, Satan and to me- Part II

HEBREWS 9 VS 22: “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood and without shedding of blood there is no remission (or forgiveness).”

HEBREWS 9 VS 22: “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood and without shedding of blood there is no remission (or forgiveness).”

The blood is for the devil Satan’s most strategic activity in this age is as the accuser of the brethren.

Revelation 12 vs 10b: “For the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”

So and so has done this and that goes on 24 hours a day. Jesus confronts him being the High Priest through His own blood.

Hebrews 9 vs 11-14, vs 11: “But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.”

Vs 12: “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” Vs 13: “For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh.

“. . . how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?’

The blood puts God on man’s side against the Devil Romans 8 vs 31, 33-34: “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

“Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

Jesus is at the right hand of God and is also interceding (praying) for us.

The devil has no ground for accusation against those who have received the work of Christ’s shed blood for them.

The blood dissolves all of Satan’s legal rights of ownership.

Colossians 1 vs 14: “. . . in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

“Redemption” means “to buy back”. We are under new ownership, and the price that was paid for us was the shed blood of Jesus. “I am under new ownership”. Acts 20 vs 28 states: “. . . the church of God, which he bought back with his own blood.”

What the blood of Christ has brought us.

Purity of heart – the blood has brought.

1 John 1 vs 7: “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Eternal Life – the blood has brought.

{The blood has bought us}. John 6 vs 53-54, vs 53: “Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The blood has brought us an approach to God.

Ephesians 2 vs 13: “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” We are now able to approach the Holy God.

Conclusion The shed blood of Christ has a meaning to God, to Satan and to me.

Remind yourself of the covenant He has with you: to forgive your sin; to cleanse you from sin; to protect you from Satan’s harm.

Christ shed his blood on seven occasions.

In Gethsemane — when drops of His sweat were like blood {for our burdens}.

When He was beaten {ploughed 39 times on His back} – for our healing.

Isaiah 53 vs 5: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

His visage (face) was marred more than any man for our sins.

Isaiah 52 vs 14: “Just as many were astonished at you, so His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men . . .”

When a crown of thorns was forced on his head. Thorns are a symbol of a curse in Genesis. We are free from curses.

When His hands were pierced by nails, blood flowed for our walk with Him.

When his feet were pierced by nails, blood flowed for our work with Him.

When a spear was thrust on His side while hanging on the cross. (Blood and water) – for the new bride (you and me).

Your burdens are removed by the power of the blood.

Sickness is healed by the power of the blood.

Sins are removed by the power of the blood.

Curses are broken by the power of the blood.

Our work, (jobs, businesses) families, blessed through the power of the blood.

Our walk is blessed (possess the land) through the power of the blood.

We are the spotless bride because of the blood.
