Victoria Falls is starved of live performances from renowned gospel artistes and Fungisai’s upcoming show has already created a buzz in the town.

The Vanogona hit-maker who is being brought to the resort town by the United Methodist Church is expected to perform from 12pm until 7pm.

Organisers said the show would be part of a fun day to raise money for roofing of the church in Victoria Falls.

Fungisai will be backed by Victoria Falls-based artiste Blessing (Buju) Nyagwaya who has also carved his name in the gospel genre.

“She has promised to give her audience a good value for their money,” Rowland Makaure, the spokesperson for the organisers, said.

“Fans should expect to dance to gospel music and be brought closer to God through Fungisai’s rich messages.”

“She has also grown better with time like wine and she means business when she gets on stage.

“Charges are pegged at $3 for adults and $1 for children. There will be lots of food and drinks,” Makaure said.

“There will also be jumping castle, trampoline and money other for children’s fun.”

This is the not the first that the gospel diva and Nyagwaya have played together as they were also part of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority shows before the United Nations World Tourism General Assembly indaba in Victoria Falls last year.
