Technosphere rule the roost

HWANGE-based Technosphere continue to make waves in the Zifa Southern Region Division One league after dispatching army side Elephants FC 2-0 at HQ1 Brigade on Saturday to remain at the helm on the log standings with three matches remaining to the end of the season.

Technosphere now lead the pack with 45 points from 22 matches, but they are tied with Tsholotsho FC who beat title contenders Black Boots 2-1 in Fairbridge on Saturday.

Black Boots faltered following the defeat as they had been handed three points on a 1-2 scoreline for their abandoned match against Old Nic Mine.

The police side remains on 45 points as well, but have played 23 matches. Technosphere lead Tsholotsho by a nine-goal difference and both sides have a game in hand over Black Boots.

Old Nic Mine were fined $500 of which $150 was suspended for the rest of the season for causing the abandonment of the match against Black Boots on October 4.

ZPC Hwange could face censure from Zifa after they failed turn up for their match against Plumtree Chiefs at Raylton Sports Club on Saturday
