The Brethren In Christ Church (BICC) will on Saturday host top government officials at a business workshop as churches intensify efforts to seek solutions to Bulawayo’s economic woes.
BICC Lobengula youth pastor Hloniphani Ndlovu said the workshop would create a platform for youths and the church to discuss business issues.
Ndlovu said the indaba would seek to unpack the government’s economic blueprint — Zim-Asset.
“It will also give participants the forum to discuss and brainstorm on how Bulawayo could reclaim its top spot as the industrial hub of Zimbabwe,” he said.
“The workshop aims, among other things, to help youths and Christians interact, network and understand the government’s position on empowerment for the girl child or women.
“It will also seek to understand the government’s position on gender equality; community development and funding opportunities for the girl child, women and small businesses.”
