Mambare, who is owed $9 000 in signing-on fees, took his former team to the Labour Court after they allegedly failed to pay the amount.

Bosso was also taken to court by former junior player McAnthony Ndlovu for alleged non-payment of $500 signing-on fees after the player was promoted to the senior team in 2012.

Ndlovu claims he has not received any payment from Highlanders who argue they paid him $250 and that matter has also been referred to arbitration.

Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede confirmed the developments yesterday.

“The matter has been referred for arbitration,” he said.

“Our point as prescribed to him (Mambare) is that he complained late so that is why it is going for arbitration. We have evidence with regards to McAnthony Ndlovu.”

According a document which Southern Eye gleaned, Ndlovu received $250 as part payment of the $500 which he was due to him in on July 25 2012.

He signed for the $250 on August 2 2012 with Highlanders secretary Andrew Tapela and Smart Moyo, Bosso juniors manager, signing the agreement.

Mambare penned a two-year contract with the former league champions in March 2012 with a promise of getting $10 000 as part of the deal.

Through the Football Union of Zimbabwe, both Ndlovu and Mambare sought to recover their monies which they claim Highlanders owes them.

If the parties are not satisfied with the outcome of the arbitration, they still could appeal to the Labour Court.
