C n C Productions officials told Woza Weekend they were looking for seasoned and upcoming actors to attend the auditions which start in the morning at a local private building.

The production firm, which has its roots in the music industry, has set its eyes on film-making in a bid to promote the arts industry in the country.

C n C Productions director Clayton Chehore, aka Cleo, said Betrayal was a high budget film.

“This is a high budget film because it involves lots of cars, almost everyone in this film is driving because it’s a setup of people who are well up and has got a lot of locations,” he said.

The feature film is about a newly wedded pregnant woman living in a castle.

The lady meets a friend from the past and introduces her to her husband, but the friend turns out to be a home wrecker.

The target market and audience for the film is online, ZBCtv and Mzansi Magic in South Africa.

C n C Productions are bankrolling the film through funds raised from coverage of weddings, funerals, church crusades and other events.

“We are, in fact, fundraising to make this film happen,” Chehore said.

“We wanted to shoot in December soon after the youth games but due to our participation in the filming of the games we had to postpone the shooting.”

Chihore was trained by the South Africa-based Black Tour TV to do short films, dramas and documentaries.
