JOHANNESBURG — Kaizer Chiefs have offered Kingston Nkhatha a new contract, despite the striker coming under pressure from the club’s fans for some inconsistent performances this season.

The Zimbabwean international has found the back of the net just twice, and put his name down for miss of the season against Polokwane City, but it seems he has the backing of coach Stuart Baxter.

Nkhatha’s agent, Tim Sukazi of Quality Talent Sports, saidthey had an offer in front of the them and it’s just about finalising terms.

“Kaizer Chiefs have already tabled a proposal for Nkhatha, whose current contract expires in June,” Sukazi tells KickOff.com.

“It’s the same with Kgotso Moleko, and we are negotiating with Chiefs over both players. Now it’s just a matter of agreeing on terms.”

Chiefs have already agreed terms with Chippa United striker David Zulu for next year, and have also been linked with the likes of Bongani Ndlulula.
