SUNGURA superstar Alick Macheso entertained scores of fans that thronged the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo to watch him perform on Friday night.

Macheso and his band, Orchestra Mberikwazvo, kept the crowd highly entertained with amazing guitar skills from the moment he took his act on stage.
The show that started at 10pm saw Macheso thrilling fans with hit-track Tafadzwa Nyarara, which most people thought he would not play since it was dedicated to his second wife.
The two are now divorced and Tafadzwa has been taking Macheso to court over maintenance payment disputes.
Macheso had not performed the hit track in public for a while following marital problems.
The superstar promised to put up a good performance and he did not disappoint as he kept the crowd on its feet with his energetic performance into the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police details on duty had a torrid time maintaining order as some fans tried to gain free entry due to the long and winding queues.

Macheso said he was elated to be in Bulawayo and promised to return saying he was impressed with the response to his performance.
“I am impressed by this crowd. I can see that my support base is still growing every year in Bulawayo. I am looking forward to slate another show for my fans early next year despite the fact that I have a busy schedule. I will try my level best to accommodate them before we start our international assignments,” Macheso said.
Macheso has over the past years established himself as a musical force locally and in the Sadc region.
He has a sizeable following in Mozambique and South Africa.
