Platinum will play Sofapaka of Kenya in the preliminary round of the Confederation Cup first leg on February 15 before hosting the East Africans at Mandava Stadium two weeks later.

Should the Zimbabwe side progress, they will face the winner between Young Africans of Tanzania or Botswana Defence Forces X1 in the first round with a potential tie against Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the second round.

Platinum began their preparations on January 8, having maintained the core of last season’s team, save for Qadr Amin, who jumped ship to Harare.

In addition, Platinum brought in Emmanuel Mandiranga, Wellington Kamudyariwa and Brian Muzondiwa for the campaign.
