Nhumwa is the first assistant coach while Makota is the second with Sheunesu Chaka redeployed to take charge of the developmental side of the gold miners.

Chairman Mlondolozi Nkomo yesterday confirmed the changes.

“Masomere is in charge as head coach while (Johannes) Nhumwa will be the first assistant and Makota the second. Thembinkosi Sibanda is still the goalkeepers’ coach. We have redeployed (Sheunesu) Chaka to take charge of the developmental side of the team,” Nkomo said.

The welfare manager of the team is Matachabo Mwale.

Nkomo reiterated Masomere’s sentiments that the gold miners were targeting 2015 to be better than last year.

“We sat down with the coaches and they gave us their targeted set of players. I think we got 90% of the players that we wanted and our target for this year is to do better than we did last year,” Nkomo said.

How Mine ended last season on position eight with 40 points. They have brought on board Tawanda Muparati, Devon Chafa, Limited Chikafa, Charles Sibanda, goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya, Tapiwa Kumbuyani and Benjamin Marere to bolster their squad for their 2015 PSL campaign.
