TSHWANE – Mamelodi Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe is expected to offer Esrom Nyandoro (pictured) a position in the management of the club at the end of his playing career.

The Zimbabwean is seemingly edging closer to the latter part of his playing career, if his lack of game-time at Sundowns in recent years is anything to go by.

The central midfielder did not play any games for Sundowns, under Pitso Mosimane in the 2014 to 2015 Absa Premier Soccer League season.

Nyandoro (35) is said to be dealing with Motsepe directly, regarding his future at the club. The veteran player’s contract with Sundowns is set to expire in June.

“As of now there have been no reports within the club whether he will be given a post, but no one knows because he is dealing directly with the president. You know, he is very close to the president and it’s only Motsepe who will decide his future.

“One thing I can tell you is that he is staying at the team. In what capacity?

“That, no one knows . . . only the president,” a source within Sundowns revealed.

Nyandoro is one of the long-serving players at Sundowns, alongside Surprise Moriri.

The club’s top brass are expected to make a decision on Nyandoro’s future at an appropriate time.
