Tshaka Boxing Club trainer Philip Striker told Southern Eye Sport that four of his charges would take part in the tournament to be held at a yet-to-be named venue.

“I have just come back from sending all the necessary documents to Harare for my boys to be cleared by the board so they can participate in the Boris Black Fist organised tournament that will be on 18 April,” Striker said.

The four boxers are Noel Mpofu, who is a light heavyweight and will trade leather with Harare boxer Lesley Macdade in the bill’s main bout over eight rounds, lightweight Dumezweni Ntuliki who will fight against Botswana boxer Tebogo Katiso in four rounds, Lovell Maphosa who will fight with another Botswana boxer Patrick Seoko in the bantamweight division over four rounds and Meluleki Ngulube who fights in the light flyweight division and is set to face a yet-to-be confirmed boxer from Zambia.

Harare-based Silas Mandeya’s six rounds welterweight contest against Malawian Salimuh Azasa will round off the men’s bouts. Three female bouts are on the cards.

Boris Black Fist Boxing Club boxer Patience Master will trade leather with Zambia’s Linah Kasweka in a six-round bantamweight fight while Diana Makumbe will fight another Zambian woman Lalingililami Maggie in a bantamweight contest over four rounds.

An all-Zimbabwe affair between welterweights Monalisa Sibanda and Frisco Makumbe will round off proceedings.
