Iziqholo ZaseZhwane will make their debut in the top-flight league with a match against Harare City at Rufaro Stadium.

“We are prepared for the league. When we got promoted all we had to do was to prepare ourselves to play in the top. When it starts we will have to be prepared,” Sweswe said.

“There is no team greater than the other. All teams are the same. We are going to play all the games that we are supposed to play,” continued Sweswe.

Tsholotsho were not very active on the market and have a handful of notable players in their team with Kudzanai Machazane, formerly with Highlanders, and Maclive Phiri who was previously with Quelaton, being some of the players that have experience in the Premier League.

Players who could carry Tsholotsho include Mncedisi Gumede, Butholezwe Ncube, Evans Sibanda and captain Wiliam Sitima.

“I have confidence in the players. You cannot coach a team that you are not happy with, but I am happy with our selection and I am sure they will do well,” Sweswe said.

Sweswe said: “I do not know much about them (Harare City). I am sure they are a changed side from last season, but they are the same as any other team in the league.”

Tsholotsho were scheduled to meet supporters yesterday afternoon before an address by Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs minister Cain Mathema.

They were set to conduct another roadshow in Bulawayo today, but it has since been cancelled as the team will be preparing for departure for Harare.

“We were intending to have a meeting in Bulawayo as well, but because our match is on Friday we have decided to postpone it.

“Today (yesterday) we will be moving around meeting people and in the evening we will meet Mathema,” Tsholotsho chairman Mlamuli Phiri said.

He said they were eagerly waiting for the season to start and were ready as they had prepared well.

Tsholotsho will play Harare City coached by former Caps United Gaffer Taurai Mangwiro with Mkhuphali Masuku as assistant.

Mangwiro brought in a number of players from Caps United who include Tendai Samanja, Nicholas Alifandika, Honey Chimutimunzeve and Tafadzwa Dube crossing floors while Themba Ndlovu came from Dynamos. Harare City are also joined by former Kaizer Chiefs hardman Lincoln Zvasiya.
