THE ZimPraise choir, which took Bulawayo by storm in May last year with “It’s all about Jesus” concert, is set to visit the City of Kings for “The Revelation Reloaded” concert at the Apostolic Faith Mission Grace City Church on April 5.

NONHLANHLA SIBANDA OWN CORRESPODENT ZimPraise public relations officer Tendai Zhou told Southern Eye Lifestyle they had decided to celebrate this year’s Easter with Bulawayo fans.

“We are going to perform our latest songs from the recent Revelation DVD and other selected songs from our past projects that we know are going to leave our Bulawayo friends appreciating our ministry even more,” Zhou said.

“Our set has a mixture of Shona, English, Ndebele and Tswana songs, most of which are popular to many, but not necessarily written by ZimPraise,” he added.

Zhou revealed that the choir had already conducted auditions for this year and it now boasted of singers from Bulawayo.

“We are done with auditions for this year which were held in Harare. We wanted to come to Bulawayo as well, but this was not possible.

We are hoping to do that in the coming years when we are ready.

“We are happy to say we have a few members based in Bulawayo such as Faith Mucha, who travelled to Harare for auditions and qualified.

We are especially excited to be ministering with them in Bulawayo during this concert. Our management is still working on selected artistes that will curtain raise for the event. ”

ZimPraise has a ministry team that is involved in social responsibilities such as clean up campaigns and school visits to inspire students with a passion for music and the arts as well as to share the gospel of Christ.

The ensemble recently started a children’s choir called ZimPraise Kids, which teaches skills in song writing and developing children’s artistic skills in the areas of dance, music and theatre.

Children are taught how to become independent thinkers and to embrace their gifts and use them for God’s glory as well as the betterment of their future.

The choir has toured countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States, among others, and holds annual live DVD recordings.
