ZITF organises the conference in partnership with the National Economic Consultative Forum and other organisations.

The theme for this year’s conference is: “Stimulating Exports: Seizing Opportunities to Accelerate Growth under ZimAsset.”

“The programme seeks to interrogate how stimulating exports will create opportunities to accelerate economic growth.

“We expect close to 400 business delegates to participate,” ZITF general manager Nomathemba Ndlovu said.

She said ZITF invited an international incentive travel expert from the United States, Joost de Meyer, to facilitate a workshop on incentive travel.

She said the workshop, organised in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, was open to all ZITF 2015 participants and not just A’sambeni exhibitors.

“The aim is to educate and create awareness among Zimbabwean corporate executives on incentive travel and how it could be used to increase employee productivity,” Ndlovu added.

She urged ZITF 2015 participants to download the ZITF 2015 mobile application for them to access information on event programmes and updates.

The tool, according to Ndlovu, would help participants plan their days more efficiently during this year’s trade showcase.

ZITF revealed it had sold 90% of exhibition space for the annual event.

The 56th edition of the trade fair would be held between April 28 and May 2.

Sixteen countries namely Botswana, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Germany, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Pakistan, Poland, South Africa, the United States and Zambia would participate.

Zambian President Edgar Lungu is expected to officially open the trade fair, a major highlight on Bulawayo’s business calendar.
