London – Arsene Wenger fired the latest shot in his war of words with José Mourinho on Friday, branding the Chelsea manager disrespectful.

In response to home fans chanting ‘boring, boring Chelsea’ during last weekend’s goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium, Mourinho claimed it was Arsenal’s 10-year title drought that was boring.

When asked about the jibe on Friday, Wenger said: ‘The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. Some people have to improve on that.

‘Look, everybody lives with his own internal problems and I live with mine. That’s enough.

‘You can have incidents with other managers sometimes. It gets a bit heated when you fight directly with them, but in the end I believe time heals and the important thing is to respect each other as much as you can.’

Mourinho, when asked about Wenger’s comments during his press conference, refused to comment.

But privately the Portuguese, whose side can clinch the title tomorrow with victory at home to Crystal Palace, is said to be furious with Wenger’s disparaging remarks.
