Mphoko is expected to start his tour by visiting the country’s biggest irrigation scheme and cropping field, Bulawayo Kraal.
The government’s Bulawayo Kraal project has 20 000 hectares of irrigable land, which is part of the Zambezi Green Valley (Zagreva) project.
Zagreva was officially launched by former Vice-President Joice Mujuru in 2006.
The project was established to curb the country’s food shortages and promote a green belt in areas along the Zambezi River stretching from Kazungula to Kariba.
Mphoko will visit the Kamativi Tin Mine, which closed down in 1994.
The Mines ministry recently said four foreign investors had expressed an interest to inject $60 million into the mine and resume operations.
