PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe has appointed Pardon Kusaziwa Kuipa as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Lupane State University (LSU)with Nomathemba Ndiweni as the institution’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe has appointed Pardon Kusaziwa Kuipa as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Lupane State University (LSU)with Nomathemba Ndiweni as the institution’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

According to LSU, both appointments were effective from May 18.

Kuipa takes over from the late Acting Vice-Chancellor McLean Bhala who died in April last year a week before his appointment as substantive LSU Vice-Chancellor.

Kuipa was until his recent appointment the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Chinhoyi University of Technology.

He holds an MSc Degree in Chemical Engineering from Ivanovo Institute of Chemical Engineering (Russia) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Bradford University (United Kingdom).

Prior to her new appointment, Ndiweni was a dean and senior lecturer at the Medical School, Division of Basic Medical Sciences, at the National University of Science and Technology.

She also sits on various boards including Mpilo Central Hospital, Research Council of Zimbabwe and the Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe.
