VICE-President Phelekezela Mphoko will officially open the Matabeleland South Agricultural Show Society (MSASS) next month.

The 58th edition of the show will run from August 13 to 15 under the theme Innovations that Promote Value Addition and Beneficiation.
“The show is meant to help exhibitors showcase their produce, companies, organisations thereby creating opportunity to scale up recovering economically,” MSASS spokesperson Mvelo Zondo said.
“The innovations that promote value addition will help empower the indigenous Zimbabwean propelling them into self-sustainable entrepreneurs thereby helping the nation reclaim its bread basket of Africa status.”
Exhibitors are expected from Matabeleland South Province and throughout Zimbabwe.
“All potential exhibitors falling in the following categories; small-scale farmers, commercial farmers, small and medium enterprises, parastatals, commercial and non-commercial entities are invited to take up stands,” Zondo said.
“Stands are going at $4 per square metre with the smallest costing $60 while the maximum goes for $300.

“Large and small livestock will be exhibited after which an auction will be conducted by a competent and registered auctioneer on the last day of the show.
“A wide range of entertainment is lined up for the duration of the show at our arena.”
