PREPARATIONS for one of the country’s prestigious arts festivals, Intwasa, have begun with the organisers setting dates and providing a synopsis of what to expect at the annual event.
by LUYANDUHLOBO MAKWATI The festival, which is now in its 11th year running, will be held in various venues across Bulawayo between September 21 and 26.
The festival continues to be bigger and better and it will this year run under the theme My Intwasa, Your Intwasa, Our Intwasa.
“We have started our preparations for this year’s edition so that we deliver to the consumers of art in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and beyond,” said festival director Raisedon Baya.
“As we continue with our preparations more information will be availed and we are promising everyone a good feat.”
Intwasa Arts Festival is one of the few cultural highlights of Bulawayo.
In previous editions, Intwasa has hosted workshops, networking platforms, schools programming, platforms for emerging artists and the usual events that have been popular in the last 10 editions.
