Nkathazo Tigere Murefu (55) of Sotshangane Flats in Mzilikazi was not asked to plead to the forgery charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya.

He was remanded to October 10 for trial.

The court heard that early this week, police detectives received information that Marufu was processing fake documents at his offices.

The detectives raided his office and recovered forged certificates of competence and a driver’s licence belonging to Murundo Freeman.

The detectives also recovered forged Ministry of Higher Education journeyman trade test card Class 1 and a national diploma for Cyril Fitzgerald Wynald.
