They remain at the top of the log table only needing six points to win the championship and earn promotion to the 2016 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

City need six points from the four remaining games to reach 65 points and they book a ticket to next year’s top-flight action.

Their rivals, Bulawayo Chiefs narrowed the gap to seven points after beating Makomo 3-0 in Hwange, but their championship chances look slim at this stage.

Chiefs are on 52 points and if they win the remaining four games, they end the season on 64 points and their hope lies on City dropping more points.

In their last games, City date ZPC Hwange at home Luveve Stadium and then finish off the season with struggling Trumus, Makomo and army side Indlovu Iyanyathela. Chiefs in turn have easier fixtures against eighth-placed Indlovu Iyanyathela, NUST, who are on position 13, and Hwange Juniors on position 14.

Their last game against Casmyn is probably their most difficult encounter.
