Zapu regional director for information and publicity Iphuthile Maphosa told Southern Eye that elections to choose a new executive will be held on October 31.
Maphosa said the party resolved to dissolve the provincial executive to ensure it becomes representative of the composition of the new district structures.
“We felt it would be fair to dissolve the provincial executive and have new elections to select a new team that will be representative of the composition of the district structures. We will also be dissolving provincial executive structures across the country after conducting the recruitment exercise there. The recruitment exercise began in Bulawayo and we are almost complete and we are certain that come next month, we will be having a new executive to take the party forward,” Maphosa said in an interview.
Maphosa said Zapu will next month take its recruitment drive to either South Africa or Matabeleland North.
