POLICE in Bulawayo are reportedly investigating a suspected poisoning death that occurred at a city bar on Tuesday this week.

Police sources yesterday said a man identified as Stephen Ncube (51) from Makokoba died at his home after being poisoned by his drinking mate at a named city bar.
According to sources, Ncube started complaining of stomachaches when he went home at night and confided in his family members that he had been poisoned by his mate at the bar.
Ncube died later that night and members of the Criminal Investigation Department’s homicide section attended the scene.
Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Precious Simango yesterday said she wanted to consult with her superiors in Harare before issuing a statement, but had not done so at the time of going to print last night.
