Last week, MSU’s faculty of social sciences signed a memorandum of understanding with the Marondera-based institution to offer the diploma, which aims at enhancing human capital development.

“The MOU is a part of the University’s efforts aimed at enhancing human capital development in the country and we applaud Kushinga Phikelela for initiating the partnership,” MSU Pro-Vice chancellor, research and academic affairs, professor Victor Ngonidzashe Muzvidziwa said.

The diploma enables community activists to gain a thorough understanding of community development and practical skills necessary to work effectively in development work.

In the past, MSU has partnered other higher learning institution like Trust Academy to offer a masters degree in information systems, as well as spearheading the establishment of the Manicaland College of Applied Sciences.
