EuroFilmFestZW unveils Bioskop Short Film Competition shortlist

The festival runs from  May 30 to June 1 in Harare at the Mbare Art Space and from June 6 to 8 at Amakhosi Theatre in Bulawayo.

AS we count down to the 10th Edition of the European Festival which begins on May 30,  the European Film Festival Zimbabwe has announced the 2025 Bioskop Short Film Competition shortlist.

The festival runs from  May 30 to June 1 in Harare at the Mbare Art Space and from June 6 to 8 at Amakhosi Theatre in Bulawayo.

According to EuroFilmFestZW, the jury was impressed with the quality of submissions for this year.

The shortlisted films represent some of the most compelling storylines and artistry across six categories. The 10th European Film Festival continues to celebrate women and is running under the theme She Means Business!

This year the 10th edition of the European Union Film Festival is celebrating women like  Danai Gurira (actress, playwright and activist), Chipo Chung (actress and activist), Beauty Nakai Tsuro (multifaceted filmmaker, actor and scriptwriter), Sue Ellen Chitunya (producer, filmmaker and a member of the Oscars Academy).

The winners of the Bioskop Short Film Competition will be announced on May 30 which is the opening night of the 10th Edition of the European Film Festival at the Mbare Art Space in Harare. The finalists of the EU Bioskop Short Film Competition are:

Best Sound Editing

Best Cinematography
