Bosso on troublesome trip

Coach Kelvin Kaindu acknowledged that Kariba have been consistent this year and reckons it is going to be a tough match on Saturday.

HIGHLANDERS have not defeated ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium in over a decade, rendering Saturday’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash yet another stern examination.

After the weekend home draw against FC Platinum at Barbourfields Stadium, the Bulawayo giants hit the road to face the power utility side at Nyamhunga.

ZPC Kariba have been a bogey side for Highlanders in their home comforts.

Bosso defeated ZPC Kariba 2-0 at Barbourfields Stadium before the 1-1 draw at Nyamhunga last year.

Coach Kelvin Kaindu acknowledged that Kariba have been consistent this year and reckons it is going to be a tough match on Saturday.

“A very difficult game, playing ZPC (Kariba) at their home. ZPC have been consistent and it's good that we are scoring in each game. All we need is to do that and make sure we don’t concede,” Kaindu said.

ZPC Kariba have not lost at home so far this season and their two defeats came on the road against Manica Diamonds and MWOS.

At the weekend, they forced a share of points with Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium.

Meanwhile, coach Joey Antipas  heaved a sigh of relief at the weekend after Chicken came back from trailing 2-0 to beat struggling Kwekwe United 4-2 at Bata Stadium, with all goals coming from Brighton Makopa.

Chicken Inn host Green Fuel at Luveve on Saturday.
