ENERGETIC gospel group Mahendere Brothers is scheduled to perform at a show set for July 20 at Bulawayo Textile Mills.
The show dubbed Gospel Extravaganza is being organised by United Family International Ministries, Bulawayo region.
Pastor Tinashe Zuva confirmed the show to Southern Eye yesterday.
“The show is an initiative to promote gospel music and to preach the Word of God through gospel music,” he said.
Mahendere Brothers will be supported by Gospel Power and other artistes yet to be confirmed.
The show, billed as the first of its kind in Bulawayo, will start at noon till late.
“We have agreed on a reasonable entrance fee because the reason for hosting the show is not to make money, but to preach the gospel through music and we want to capture as many people as we can,” Pastor Zuva said.
Mahendere Brothers have a catalogue of hit albums to their name which include Hupenyu Hwepanyika, Africa Yorumbidza, Psalms 23 and The Good Shepherd, among others. The group is famous for their award winning videos and they have also become a permanent feature at most of the national music galas.
