JOHANNESBURG — Fabulous Feza followed her recently-departed béau Oneal out of Big Brother Africa: The Chase during Sunday’s live eviction show. Her departure leaves seven housemates in contention for the $300 000 prize, with just 14 days of The Chase to go.

After she joined IK on stage, she shared her thoughts on life, love and everything else with the continent. She told IK that she’d originally liked Elikem when they walked into the house, but things had changed.

“I liked what I saw, but he’s just a bit immature,” the Tanzanian said. “Do you really love Oneal?” IK asked. “Yes,” a shy-looking Feza replied. Feza told IK that she and Oneal had argued often because he sometimes thought she was using him and he didn’t trust her.

“Did that change before he left?” IK asked. “I had my doubts — I tried so hard because I wanted him to trust me. “Then I put myself in his shoes and I realised I would react the same way. I thought I owed it to him to earn that trust,” she said. IK asked the Tanzanian whether she thought Oneal had another woman waiting for him outside the house.

Her response was that she wasn’t sure. “So you’re still not 100% on the trust thing?” IK asked, to which Feza replied: “No.” When IK showed her who had nominated her, she was shocked to see Dillish pop up on screen.

She said she would have been surprised to be nominated by Melvin, but he had spoken to her about it. Asked who she thought would win, she said she wasn’t sure if he would or not, but that Angelo was her favourite.

Oneal, evicted last week, got a chance to share his thoughts on life outside the house. He said he had reconnected with his artistic side in the house and was looking to taking that further. He had also been coming to terms with how people had seen his diary sessions.

Zimbabwean hip-hop sensation Tehn Diamond showed off his raw lyrical power as he wowed the crowd with Grown Up Kid at the start of the show, returning later with Junior Brown to perform Happy/Madrinks.

IK ended the show by reminding the housemates that Monday’s (yesterday) nominations would be their last chance to get rid of the competition. “Remember, you’re in this for the money, not friendship,” he told them.

The remaining seven housemates are only 14 days away from finding out who will scoop the massive prize money.
