The province is pooled with Matabeleland South, Mashonaland Central, Matabeleland North and Harare. Masvingo stunned Harare 2-0 in their opening group match before going on to beat Mashonaland Central by two sets to nil in their second game.

In yesterday’s Pool B matches, Harare beat Mashonaland Central 2-1 as they had to fight their way back into the match after losing the first set 21-25, but bounced back to win the second set 25-20 as well as the decider 15-12.

The team had to bounce back from their defeat to Masvingo to win both their matches played on Monday, dismissing Matabeleland North 2-0 and Matabeleland South by two sets to nil.

In the boys Pool B Harare beat Manicaland by two sets to one with the team from the capital winning the first set 25-21 while their opponents won the second set 25-18 forcing the game into a decider which Harare won by a narrow margin of 18-15 to clinch the game.

Harare began their campaign with a 2-0 loss to Mashonaland East before bouncing back to beat Masvingo 25-21 and 25-18 to claim a 2-0 win. Mashonaland East were on the receiving end yesterday losing by two set to nil to Masvingo.

Manicaland who had begun their campaign brightly with a 2-0 win over the Midlands in their pool opening match lost both their matches yesterday. They started off by losing 2-1 to Harare in their second pool match before going down 2-0 to Masvingo.

In the men’s pool A matches played yesterday, Bulawayo beat Matabeleland North 2-0, Mashonaland Central beat Matabeleland South 2-0 while Mashonaland Central bounced back from their earlier loss to beat Mat North 2-0.

The women’s Pool A matches saw Bulawayo lose to Manicaland by two sets to one while Mashonaland East won 2-1 against the Midlands.
