Thandazani Nyoni, the Ndolwane band manager told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday that the group was raring to go.

“The people of Esigodini have requested us to come back and the last time we performed there was in July when we shared the staged with Sulumani Chimbetu,” Nyoni said.

The band is expected to play songs from their album Bakhuzeni with the crowd’s favourite track Sekukubi, popularly known as Uyakhuzwa.

Nyoni urged fans in and around Esigodini to come in their numbers.

“We encourage fans to come and motivate us in their numbers. The last time we performed, they were not satisfied because we showcased for a limited time. Now we are bringing back operation Bakhuzeni to Esigodini,” Nyoni said.

The band, which impressed at Intwasa Arts Festival KoBulawayo recently, has performed in Plumtree and Bulawayo.

The group has produced hit after hit since their debut recording, Ndoyana.

But their album Hluphile which got favourable airplay was banned in Zimbabwe after it was perceived to be too political.
