The Extra Kwazvose outfit comprising former Macheso sidekick Francis Dhaka, aka “Franco Slomo”, drummer, Obert Gomba, renowned guitarist Noel Nyazanda and singer Jonasi Kasamba are expected to reverberate in Gweru at Midlands Hotel.

The group is slowly gathering momentum judging from the live shows they have held in their “National Tour” that has seen them drawing sizeable crowds.

With the debut album Ndizvo Zviripo on their sleeves, the sungura musicians will be under scrutiny to prove they are a serious force in the genré after their first gig at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex in mid-July received mixed reactions from fans.

A senior band member, Franco Slomo, said the nationwide tour was meant to build personal relations with their fans.

“When we meet our Gweru fans, our hope will be to build a strong relationship that will catapult us to great heights. Extra Kwazvose will not disappoint and this is our promise,” he said.

The Young Igwe and frontman for Utakataka Express band is also expected to give fans value for their money after proving to be his own man with his debut album Mushonga Mukuru that has become a hit in kombis, with some of the songs receiving airplay on radio stations.
