The musician will perform at a show dubbed “Rhyme Assassin Welcome Back Party” at a local night club.

Rhyme Assassin told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday: “I am promising a great night filled with energetic performances and it’s also a night that I will meet up with my fans.

“Fans should look out for tracks such as Tyoka, City is Mine, Hip-hop Therapy and many more. I am loyal to the city, that’s why my first performance will be here before taking my act to all corners of the country. I am loyal to my fans and I want to show them that they are appreciated.”

He will be supported by local artists Nicholas Muchingura affectionately known as P.O.Y, T9yce, Pryd PMDee, Young Stan, Kasi Lunatics, Beezy Raps, Klap, among others.

The show would be followed by a second in Harare on December 7 at Courtney Hotel.

The two shows are to pave way for the musician’s album launch, with two launches in Bulawayo and Harare respectively in December.

“The 26-track double CD album titled The Grand Synopsis will feature songs in English, Ndebele and Shona, as a way to reach to a wider audience,” Rhyme Assassin added.

The musician has featured renowned artistes such as Good Child, Prometeus, Vanessa and Trevor Dongo, among others, on some of the songs.

Born in Chivhu in 1981, he spent the early years of his life in Highfield, Harare. He started writing songs and performing at high school gigs at Howard High School where he was expelled from school for leading a protest.

Between 1999 and 2001, he made his mark on the local music scene before leaving for the UK where he relaunched his career.

Last year Rhyme Assassin scooped the Zimbabwe Music Awards best male artiste of the Year accolade given to Zimbabweans in the Diaspora.

Other artiste who were vying for the award were Decibel, B Kay and Kazz. He has been nominated for the same gong this year.

Besides music in the UK, the hip-hop artiste works as the operations manager at Eschol Brooke Security Options.
