The competition, second of its kind at the same venue, will see Bulawayo-based DJs rocking and showcasing their talents on the turntables.

Sibanengi Ndebele — popularly known as DJ Mzoe (the organiser of the show) — said the event was all about exposing upcoming DJs to promoters and club owners.

“We are excited about the event. It is going to be a tough moment for judges and also for fans to decide who is the best as we have gathered the finest disc jockeys in the city,” DJ Mzoe said.

Each of the DJs will be given a 15-minute slot till the second and last rounds that will decide the winner for the night to be given a chance to play alongside South African DJ Zinhle next weekend.

The winner will walk home with prize money, which is being kept a secret until the crowning moment. Other participates will walk away with “something”.

The performers on the night will be DJ Smallie, Zet Factor, Lacustoe, Cool Jay, Khums, Ash T, Jza, Dbongz Deeper, Fire, Tawaz, Lucious Deep and Fingers.
