SKETCHES from My Soul, a motivational book by Bulawayo’s own rising literati, Njabulo Moyo, has attracted the attention of a United Kingdom-based magazine — Eduzine and Student Chat Global — an international literature forum for young writers.

Eduzine and Student Chat Global focus on nurturing young writers’ skills and promoting their achievements in fields such as arts, sports, entrepreneurship and community building.

Moyo’s breakthrough follows the recent successful launch of his latest book — Sketches from My Soul which received an overwhelming response from the Bulawayo community — among them academics, artistes, authors and scribes — at a colourful launch held last month.

His literary work has arguably emerged as the best because it reflects modern African psyche and brings a fresh force in motivational poetry apart from tackling contemporary issues such as religion, love and the identity crisis.

“As a young person, I enjoy and love presenting to the youths aged between 15-30 as this is where I derive my source of inspiration, this besides the fact that I have a huge presence and following from the corporate sector, the church community and the academia,” Moyo told Southern Eye Lifestyle.

“I relate to the tragedies of being a young person in an unequal world. Lastly I believe that motivation is spiritual, leadership is viral and as such there is a need for continuous mentoring among people of different magnitudes.”

The talent motivational writer also revealed that he was working on his third literary piece, Motivating the Inner Soul, likely to be released next year.
