A MAN from Chief Ntabeni’s area in Zhombe landed himself into trouble when he masqueraded as his friend and became intimate with his (friend) girlfriend in a dark room before the real lover caught him in the act.

Ignatius Heri (30) was not asked to plead to a rape charge when he appeared before Gokwe resident magistrate Shepherd Mjanja and was remanded in custody to January 9.
The court heard that on October 27 last year at around 1am, the woman was sleeping in her boyfriend’s room at Bobs business centre in Zhombe when Heri secretly sneaked into the room and pretended to be her boyfriend.
He allegedly slipped into the bed and chatted briefly with the woman before stripping her naked and they got intimate.
During the sexual escapade, the woman felt that the man in bed was bearded yet she knew her boyfriend to be clean shaven.
It was while she was trying to ascertain the identity of the man that her real boyfriend entered the room.
Heri bolted out and locked them in before disappearing into the night. The woman made a police report in the morning and investigations led to Heri’s arrest.
