THERE are so many qualities that could be mentioned about successful people, but l decided to state the top 11 as l see them. Enjoy!

  • A visionary People who succeed in life are able to see an opportunity in their minds which ordinary people are failing to see with their eyes. Once they have identified what they want to achieve, they take a diary and write down their time-framed goals. Having a vision keeps you going in spite of setbacks. And it is true that without a vision a man perishes!
  • Effective time user Successful people cherish a belief that time is “money”. So they make use of their time wisely knowing very well that time wasted will never be regained. Time is the most important asset we have. Average people think there is always more time. And this explains why they are always broke and will remain that way. Yet successful people regard their time as precious. Consequently, they try their level best not to waste it on meaningless things. Year 2014 has just begun, what have you planned for your precious time? Remember, as each day passes by, you are one day closer to the grave than you were the previous day. This should not discourage you; instead, it should motivate you to effectively manage your time.
  • Radiating positive energy To succeed in life, you need to surround yourself with quality people. The best way to attract quality people is to be one yourself. So the image you portray as you interact with others will largely determine how others respond to you. Take a brief moment and ask yourself a simply question. “Each time l walk into a door, do people smile or frown at me?” When you project stress and hopelessness, people will sense it and run! That may mean a serious loss of opportunities.
  • Planner Failing to plan is planning to fail. Successful people never do their things haphazardly. They follow a systematic plan in whatever they are doing. So, l suggests that starting today, draw up a planner that will schedule all your daily, weekly and monthly activities. And this will go a long way in assisting you to effectively manage your time.
  • Striving for constant improvement Take a close look at successful people, you will find that, they are always improving themselves in their area of speciality, could be in business, education and in network marketing etc. Every time they strive to be better people today than they were yesterday. They know that, those small daily incremental improvements will ultimately add up to a “mega improvement” over a period of time.
  • Hard worker Success cannot just magically come to you like the biblical manna from heaven. Of course, they are a few isolated cases of success like winning lotto and inheriting a fortune, but how many people have succeeded in life taking that route? Just a handful. The majority of us have to pull up our sleeves and get down to hard work in order to succeed in whatever we are doing.
  • Having a mentor Most, if not all successful people, look for a mentor or coach they will look upon for strategies and consultation. It is extremely important to have someone whom you look upon for guidance and leadership. Certainly, you can’t be an l “know it all.”
  • Thinking differently When average people see challenges, successful people see opportunities. This is simply because they think differently from the rest of the crowd. On the outside they look ordinary. Honestly, they are not like everybody. They don’t let their comfort zone limit their progress.Robert Kiyosaki in his book entitled Poor Dad Rich Dad had this to say: “Think independently rather than go along with the crowd.” In my opinion one greatest assets of the rich is that they think differently from everyone else.If you do what everyone else does, you’ll wind up having what everyone else has. And for most people, what they have is years of hard work, unfair taxes and lifetime of debt.”
  • Leading by example People do not learn from what we preach but they learn from what we do. So walk the talk.
  •  Never giving up They fight until they realise their goals. NO MATTER WHAT!
  •  Not procrastinating If you want to do something, never say l will do it tomorrow, next week or next year. Do it NOW!

Procrastination is the enemy of success!

To your success!
