This year’s exhibition runs from Tuesday to Saturday next week under the theme “New Ideas to New Heights” after it was brought forward from May 6-10.

ZITF marketing and public relations manager Stella Nkomo yesterday said the charges would remain the same as in 2013.

“The fees are still $5 and $3 for adults and children respectively. The first three days from April 22 to 24 will be business days and free, but traders will be required to produce invitation cards,” she Nkomo.

Last year, over 88 000 people attended the exhibition.

Nkomo said the annual educational exhibition, Scholastica, which runs concurrently with ZITF has attracted scores of universities and schools with plans to lure international universities.

This year, Scholastica runs under the theme “Developing technologies, growing knowledge”.

Nkomo said the exhibition was geared at imparting career guidance to students and professionals who might want career advancement.

“We have attracted top universities, colleges and schools for Scholastica and in future we will rope in international universities to take part,” she said.

“The idea is to provide a platform for students and those youths who are out of school to make clear career choices.”

Scholastica is an expo for continuous professional development focusing on education, careers and training. Nkomo said schools could arrange visits for their students to attend tailor made workshops.

According to the Scholastica programme, presentations on careers in the Air Force, mining, hospitality and tourism, law and marketing would be offered.
