Claudius Manamela, who initially represented the disgruntled group when they filed an application for a protection order against the church’s overseer and reverend Tony Tshuma, was accused of threatening church officials and ministers with disappearance.

The case was remanded to May 7 for continuation of trial and the State had led evidence from one witness.

Allegations were that sometime in February, Manamela went to the church in Lobengula where he allegedly spoke to officers at the resident pastor’s office after allegedly introducing himself as someone who works in the president’s office.

He allegedly told them that he was visiting to advise them that the disputes in the church were now on the president’s desk.

Manamela allegedly said he was there to warn the ministers, pastors and officers over the issue and that some people would disappear.

The church ministers reported Manamela for allegedly masquerading as a CIO agent and threatening them with disappearance.
