THE eighth Zvishavane derby between Shabanie Mine and FC Platinum failed to produce a winner following yesterday’s 0-0 outcome at Maglas Stadium.

The Chinda Boys came into the match desperate to collect maximum points following the 1-2 loss to their rivals at Mandava two weeks ago.
For FC Platinum coach Lloyd Mutasa was determined to collect maximum points as well to repay the faith put in him by the executive to keep his job.
After the match he was happy with the result though he felt his charges could have won.
“We deserved to win the game, but we failed to convert the chances we got in the dying stages. A draw in a derby and away from home is not a bad result. I am happy with the overall performance of the boys,” said Mutasa.
Shabanie Mine coach John Phiri felt his charges were yet to gel following the departure of some stars in the current transfer window.

The platinum miners’ juniors product Blessing Sahondo got a glorious chance to win the match when he raced clear, but his goal-bound shot was blocked by an exposed Victor Twaliki in goal for the hosts.
