SEASONED gospel artiste Ernest Masongela has released a digital video disc (DVD) with eight tracks presently making waves in the local music scene.

The DVD, titled Ngihlengiwe, is a combination of Masongela songs that are topping charts in various radio stations in the country and was recorded at Ingwe Studios.
In an interview with Southern Eye Masongela said he was happy that he had managed to release the disc, pointing out that he used different places to shoot the video. He also revealed that he was looking for people with expertise to record his works as he did not want to produce substandard material.
“I am very elated that I have managed to release the DVD. It really took some time to record it because I was looking for people with expertise in recording the videos as I did not want to produce a mediocre product,” he said.
Masongela has been in the music industry for the past two decades, having started his trade doing collaborations with various artistes in the country.
Over the years he developed an interest in gospel music and he has become a force to reckon with, leading him to being a seasoned artiste in the genré.
He has more than six albums under his belt and most of his music appeals to people of various age groups as his gospel tracks are also tinted with a bassline beat that is common to house music.
