Lovemore Howahowa allegedly slapped Lovemore Makiwa three times on the face after the latter had attempted to smuggle people into the hall where the party was holding its district polls at Mkoba 2 Hall last Sunday.

Howahowa was remanded to October 8.

The State alleged that on September 28, Howahowa and Makiwa were at Mkoba 2 Hall where MDC-T held district elections.

Howahowa was manning the entrance to the hall when Makiwa approached him.

Makiwa was allowed to enter and then returned outside and called other people to come into the venue.

This did not go down well with the accused who allegedly grabbed and slapped the complainant thrice on the face.

Makiwa managed to free himself and fled before making a report to the police, leading to the arrest of Howahowa.
