The granddads of jazz music, who were supported by the Jade Band, thrilled revellers at the hotel with their timeless tunes.
Sekunjalo director Dave Ncube said the Cool Crooners show was part of efforts to define the venue as a place for jazz and mature music.
“I am happy that our aim to establish this hotel as a jazz hangout for the mature in Bulawayo is being realised,” he said.
The Bhlugwe Lami hit-makers took to the stage with an aura of experience and patrons sang along to their tunes.
In support, the Jade Band also showed that they are a force to reckon with as they took patrons down memory lane.
“This is what we mean when we say during the days people could sing and perform. This is just wonderful,” said one man who could not contain his excitement.
