Jah Hanief to host shows in Zimbabwe

The artiste will perform in Harare, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls and Hwange.

Brilliant Chitsa, one of the Hwange show organisers, said Jah Hanief would tour the colliery town on April 4 and perform at Eldorado Park before proceeding to Victoria Falls.

will interact with fans during his show. He will be backed by some DJs from Bulawayo and Harare. Hwange artistes KB Speedy, Otrizy and Hardcore, will share the stage with him,” Chitsa said.

He said Jah Hanief’s objective was to promote local artistes.

Nhlanhla Ncube, aka KB Speedy, a Hwange-based artiste, said he was happy and looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the UK-based performer.

Ncube said he would take advantage of the show to promote his latest album titled Redemption.

“It is always good to rub shoulders with artistes that have made it in the industry and I can’t wait to show the world my new album Redemption,” he said.

Jah Hanief has a good following in the UK, and started music at the age of 10 in Harare. He was known as the most hyped MC of a sound system back in the days when he went by the name Shocking Vibes.

He played in Harare clubs such as Turtles, Tube, Synergy, Circus and Archipelago before heading to the Diaspora in 2003.
