AFTER three games without a win, Triangle returned to winning ways as they laboured past Tsholotsho in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Gibbo Stadium yesterday.

Goals in either side of the half from Lameck Nhamo and Felix Kuswatuka earned the Sugar Sugar Boys the win over their struggling visitors, who are mired deep in the relegation zone 13 weeks into the season.
Tsholotsho coach Lizwe Sweswe felt they were punished for failing to convert their chances.
“The boys played very well, but we failed to bury a few chances we created. Triangle is a good side and the capitalised on every mistake we made,” said Sweswe.
Triangle first team coach Biggie Zuze was happy with their return to winning ways after picking only one point in their previous three outings.
“It’s good for us to collect maximum points, we lost three games and we felt we played well especially against Dynamos and FC Platinum. We played well and managed to score two against a well-disciplined team,” said Zuze.

Tsholotsho could, however, have gone ahead only to be denied by Ashley Reyners whose quick reflexes after a miskick by Tichaona Chipunza almost resulted in an own goal.
The home side’s first clear chance to break the deadlock was not until the 17th minute, but Pasca Manhanga fired straight at Tsholotsho goalminder Mariyoni Chang. Malvin Gaki was to set up Nhamo for his side’s first in the 40th minute.
Tsholotsho could have pulled one back in the 58th minute, but Kriess Chitiyo’s shot went inches wide.
The chances were few and far between in the second stanza, but Triangle boss Kelvin Kaindu’s tactical introduction of Kuswatuka paid dividends as he scored with only five minutes to play to vanish any hopes of a comeback for the visitors.
