Sony’s Ultra HD 4K TVs slimmer than an iPhone 6 . . .

The pricing means that Sony’s new models won’t be competing with the likes of Vizio for the entry-level 4K TV market, but the company said earlier this year that it was confident its Ultra HD TVs stood above their rivals.

The 75-inch X910C 4K Ultra HD TV will retail for $5,499, arriving sometime this summer.

The pricing means that Sony’s new models won’t be competing with the likes of Vizio for the entry-level 4K TV market, but the company said earlier this year that it was confident its Ultra HD TVs stood above their rivals.

Pre-sales on the X900C began yesterday, with full purchase availability beginning July 2015. In fact, the X910C is the thinnest TV of its size ever made according to the company.

One of the most striking features of the X900C is how slim it is: 0,2 inches at its thinnest point, which Sony describes as “thinner than a smartphone”. The thinnest television from Sony can raise an eyebrow about its technical specification but they are quite sound, too.

Like the rest of this line, which went on sale last month, the X900C and X910C both run on the Android TV platform.

Both the models are powered by the X1 processor engine with feature like maximum contrast, color and clarity.

The X900C combines 4K clarity and brilliant color with an incredibly thin design. Android TV delivers great content, streaming apps and Android games to the TV to provide a personalized and easy-to-use entertainment experience. Apps can load straight from the TV like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, Hulu, CBS News, CBS Sports, Crackle, NBA Game Time, Pandora and SlingTV and over 600 other choices with Google Play.

Sony, which was expected to announce X900C and X910C TVs during the spring, has fulfilled its promise a bit late but what awaits seems to be absolutely wonderful.
