MARANGE-BASED Mbada Diamonds (Private) Limited has been sued by fuel supplier, JK Motors (Pvt) Limited, over a $42 000 debt for fuel supplied last year.

In summons filed at the Bulawayo High Court dated June 10 this year, JK Motors claimed that it supplied $40 352,68 worth of fuel to the diamond mining firm in December 2015, but the latter was now refusing to pay.
“In or about December 2015, the defendant (Mbada Diamonds) purchased fuel from the plaintiff on account and the plaintiff supplied the fuel to the defendant amounting to $40 352, 68,” read JK Motors’ declaration of the claim.
“Despite the numerous attempts by plaintiff to recover monies from defendant, the defendant made several false promises to pay the money but to no avail.”
Mbada Diamonds is yet to respond to the summons.
