THE name Leonarah Makore (pictured) may not be familiar in the gospel circles, but she used to be a backing vocalist for several artistes at the turn of millennium.
She has worked with Mercy Mutsvene, Tawanda Mutyebere and Anna Mukwati as a backing vocalist.
Due to the economic downturn, Makore decided to dump music and take the diaspora route in search of greener pastures, finding herself settling in the United Kingdom (UK).
Despite that it’s now more than a decade since she was active in showbiz, her recent track Ariko Wani can easily win the hearts of many gospel lovers.
It is her first solo project, a soulful and mellow track recorded at Openaccess Studio in the UK.
The song touches on life troubles, hardships and turbulent times, which many people can relate to due to economic the woes bedevilling the country.
In the song, she urges people not to lose hope no matter the situation, because crying and getting stressed will not solve anything.
Instead, she says only God can solve all problems.
