The Chakachaya neEcoCash promotion – now Zimbabwe’s biggest consumer promotion – is energising communities across the country with excitement, entertainment and life-changing rewards as thousands of people gather every weekend for its vibrant weekly draws that are turning the campaign into a nationwide celebration.

This year alone, the popular promotion is giving away more than US$400,000 in prizes, including cars, solar systems, holiday trips, cows, smartphones, cash and many other rewards.

Last Saturday, the promotion arrived in Kwekwe for its fourth weekly draw, bringing thousands of residents to Mbizo 4 Shopping Centre for an afternoon of music, dance and prize giveaways.

Popular Zimdancehall star Killer T headlined the event, thrilling fans with energetic performances of his hit songs as the crowd sang and danced along, creating a lively, carnival atmosphere.

Beyond the entertainment, the spotlight was on rewarding loyal EcoCash customers. Lucky winners walked away with prizes that many said came as a welcome and unexpected shot in the arm for their families.

The Kwekwe event capped an action-packed week of roadshows across Chegutu, Kadoma, Gweru, Mvuma, Featherstone and Chivhu. Through music, games and interactive activities, the roadshows built momentum ahead of the draw, before excitement peaked as winning tickets were announced and loud cheers greeted each new winner.

The previous weekend, the promotion made its third stop in Chiredzi, transforming Gibbo Stadium into a hub of sport, entertainment and community celebration. The Chiredzi event followed equally successful, full-capacity events held in Domboshawa and at the community around Trabablas Interchange (formerly Mbudzi Roundabout) in Harare, underscoring the nationwide and popular appeal of the promotion.

Since its launch on June 18, the Chakachaya neEcoCash promotion has rewarded hundreds of customers with an impressive range of prizes — including cars, smartphones, television sets, gas stoves, deep freezers, solar systems, cows and airtime vouchers.

Customers qualify for the weekly draws by accumulating at least 30 points through transactions using their EcoCash USD and ZWG wallets. Those who earn 500 points or more during the promotion automatically secure entry into the grand prize draw to be held on August 31, 2026.

Customers can boost their chances of winning by earning double points on selected transactions – including remittances, cash-ins and payments made through the EcoCash Super App.

With more prizes still to be won, the excitement continues as the promotion heads to Murambinda in Manicaland, Beitbridge and Chinhoyi. The upcoming stops are set to give more communities the opportunity to enjoy the unique mix of entertainment, community engagement and exciting rewards that has made Chakachaya neEcoCash a nationwide phenomenon and the country’s largest consumer promotion.
